A Win in the Fight Against Book Banners and Library Closures in Columbia County, WA

Democracy won and Justice prevailed! In the far southeast corner of Washington state, the county’s only public library was under attack. A small group of extremists tried and failed to ban 11 books whose themes were LGBTQ, anti-racism, and sexuality.

Introducing the Nation's Newest Library District

The library in Branson Missouri was set to close in 2024 but I'm thrilled to share that we helped it become the nation's newest Library District instead. Now, Library services for this part of Missouri - despite the issues with the Secretary of State - will continue to grow.

Welcoming Ashley Stewart

EveryLibrary is happy to announce that Ashley Stewart is joining us as our new Campaign Strategist. In this role, she will consult with public libraries on their funding or building ballot measures, local Vote Yes Committees on winning campaign strategies, and the occasional Vote No committee to oppose bad policies for libraries across America.

Louisiana Library Association Commends EveryLibrary for Its Support

I am proud to share that the Louisiana Library Association board of directors presented EveryLibrary with a commendation, thanking us for our partnership and work supporting their libraries during their 2023 Annual Conference in Baton Rouge this week. It was a touching moment for me, and I am proud of our work.
