What Voters Told Us in Missouri and Michigan: Information, Engagement, and Turnout Win Library Elections

Voters delivered decisive victories for two public libraries this election season. The Webster Groves Public Library in Missouri earned an overwhelming 82.79% yes vote, while the Paw Paw District Library in Michigan secured approval of its millage with 67.99% of the vote. EveryLibrary was proud to provide pro bono training and ongoing support to both library communities.

Veto SB434 Message to NH Governor Ayotte

EveryLibrary, Authors Against Book Bans NH, and the American Booksellers Associaiton today sent a letter to New Hampshire Governor Ayotte asking her to veto SB434, a bill that would make it much easier to ban books in NH school libraries. It is an unnecessary law - New Hampshire schools already have robust challenge review policies - and would do much of the same harm that caused the Governor to veto last session's HB 324.
