What I Learned at a Political Action Conference

I just returned from Netroots Nation, a big political-organizing conference held this year in Detroit. The audience there was mainly progressive organizations, political candidates, and PACs. In every ‘best-practices’ session I attended, they talked about ‘organizing your base’ and ‘activating your supporters’ are keys to success.

As a relatively new organization, I was so proud knowing we already have you in our corner. And I was very happy knowing that EveryLibrary has hundreds of people like you who stand with us as donors, contributors, volunteers, and supporters. It made for a good conference for me.

EveryLibrary started from a vision that “Any Library Ballot Measure Anywhere Matters to Every Library Everywhere”. That’s why we took this name. Your support brings that vision forward and advances our mission of Building Voter Support for Libraries. I’m not asking for anything today. I’m just grateful. It looks like we are on the right track. Thank you for being a part of it.
