Welcoming Camp, Paquette, and Shableski to the EveryLibrary Board

EveryLibrary announces the addition of three outstanding individuals to our Board of Directors. These accomplished professionals bring a wide range of expertise but share a commitment to supporting libraries and advancing our mission. 

Meet Our New Board Members

Gwen Camp, Executive Director of Team Democracy, joins our board with a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and coalition building. Her dedication to strengthening democratic principles and promoting gender parity aligns perfectly with our mission at EveryLibrary. John Chrastka, Executive Director of EveryLibrary, remarked, "Gwen's expertise in crisis management and political communications will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for library funding and accessibility. We are thrilled to have her join our board."

Nicole Paquette, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Communities Foundation of Texas, brings a unique perspective to our board with her background in library services and nonprofit management. Her commitment to community engagement and strategic communications will enhance our efforts to mobilize support for libraries nationwide. Chrastka said, "Nicole's experience in nonprofit leadership and her passion for storytelling will be instrumental in amplifying our advocacy efforts. We are excited to welcome her to our team."

John Shableski, a respected leader in the publishing and library industries, brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our board. His expertise in literacy promotion and his dedication to supporting struggling students through innovative approaches like comics and graphic novels will inform our strategies for expanding library services. Chrastka noted, "John's extensive experience in book distribution and marketing strategy will be invaluable as we work to ensure that libraries remain vibrant community resources. We are honored to have him join our board."

As they join us, we also want to mark that Erica Findley, one of our co-founders and the long-time Treasurer, is rolling off the board. Erica has been instrumental in helping EveryLibrary grow from an idea to a well-respected and effective organization. She has provided countless hours of service and always brought her wisdom, experience, and friendship to our campaigns and collaborations. We will always be grateful for her partnership.
