Book bans and censorship, library defunding initiatives, anti-library legislation, attacks on librarians and the profession...
EveryLibrary was built to fight against these threats.
As the national 501c4 organization for libraries, we have the legal structure, tools, data, and expertise to defend libraries and librarians in a way no other organization can.
Right now, we are:
- Monitoring dozens of pieces of legislation that will impact libraries across the United States.
- Working with over 100 communities that are fighting against book bans and censorship.
- Supporting statewide campaigns like Texas Freedom to Read and Florida Freedom to Read with pro-bono websites, data, consulting, and digital tools.
- Fighting for school and public libraries.
- Educating the public about the importance of libraries in the United States.
- Providing pro-bono support to libraries at the ballot box.
- Talking to millions of Americans about libraries every week on Facebook, Twitter, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, and Mastodon.
We're ready to keep supporting libraries, and we want to thank you for your help.
