We received this note in the mail the other day...

I was hesitant to share this because we definitely don’t do this work for the thanks.

But, I realized that this note of thanks doesn’t belong to EveryLibrary. It belongs to many of you who support our work because we truly can't do it without people like you who stood up when they tried to close the library in Mary Esther Florida. This note of thanks doesn’t just belong to us, but it also belongs to each of you who have stood up for libraries in the United States through your donations (it costs less than coffee to support libraries), signatures on petitions, and pledges to support libraries.

We do this work because we believe that libraries are critical to communities and that Americans rely on their libraries for important programs and services. We believe that libraries are the cornerstone of American society and that they truly make our country stronger. I know that many of you believe in libraries but we know there are millions of Americans who also believe in libraries who we haven’t spoken to yet and the next time there is a crisis like Mary Esther we want to be able to reach them to take action just like you.

That’s why I’m going to ask you to help us reach them by liking and sharing our Facebook page and I'm also going ask you to take a just a few minutes and use the invite feature to invite your friends to like our page too.

Please join us on Facebook and invite your friends and family to join us to support libraries in the United States.

Together we can reach every American who loves libraries across the country.

Sincerely,

Patrick "PC" Sweeney
Political Director
