EveryLibrary today announces our endorsement of the “Vote Yes for the Villa Park Library” campaign and the Villa Park Library referendum on the April 4, 2017 ballot

We support this referendum and encourage you to Vote Yes for this opportunity to renovate the library as a 21st century educational, cultural, and business support hub in the heart of Villa Park, IL.

The Villa Park Library board and librarians, along with qualified and licensed building engineers and architects, have developed a comprehensive plan to upgrade and expand the facility to best serve this growing and vibrant community. The local paper, The Daily Herald, rightly identified the need when they endorsed the library project: “While the shell of the building and its slab are in good shape, all of the mechanical systems original to the building are starting to fail. Electrical wiring is not to code. The elevator cannot accommodate a wheelchair.” Without this referendum passing, the library won’t be able to support teen services and pre-k properly, and they will have to invest significant resources in simply keeping the current building operational.

We provide pro-bono support to these library campaigns but we can only do that with your support. Please make a contribution today.

The library plan anticipates the needs of Villa Park residents for a library of the right size for years to come. EveryLibrary is proud to support the “Vote Yes Villa Park Library Committee”, a group of neighbors from all around Villa Park who have come together to encourage a "Yes" vote on April 4th for the library.  Please join us in supporting this community-wide outreach as as a volunteer, a donor, or an endorser at their website and on Facebook at facebook.com/VoteYesVillaParkLibrary
