Thank You for Your Donations During the LJA Matching Challenge

EveryLibrary would like to thank everyone who took the time to make a donation during the Matching Challenge from Library Juice Academy.

We received donations from people all over the country who care about libraries and want to make sure that we are able to continue fighting for libraries. We are happy that this was a successful round of donations that will add capacity to our work and support the work of libraries in communities across the United States. We would like to thank Library Juice Academy for all of their work with libraries and for supporting our work.

A donation of $25-50 funds our political actions for libraries

This money is much needed since we are currently facing a number of crisis situations for American Libraries. For example, you might be aware that Trump’s proposed budget completely cuts all federal funding for libraries through the Institute of Museum and Library Services. But we are also fighting against the closure of school libraries in cities like Chicago, across Nevada, and others. Of course, we are also working with a group of concerned citizens in Douglas County in Oregon where they are currently closing all of the libraries. And finally, many of you are definitely aware about the Koch Brothers unprecedented initiatives against library funding all over the country. These donations are going to make a difference in our capacity to fighting these issues where they arise.
