Join Lee Wind from IBPA for a panel with "We Are Stronger Than Censorship" authors Marilyn Nelson and Heather E. Schwartz. "We Are Stronger Than Censorship" campaign, an initiative designed to address the challenge of book bans and censorship across the nation. 

Heather E. Schwartz is the author of Michelle Obama: Political Icon, and Marilyn Nelson is a celebrated poet and author of Papa’s Free Day Party. Moderated by IBPA Chief Content Officer and frequently challenged author Lee Wind, this conversation will explore the role of literature in countering censorship and promoting diversity.

"We Are Stronger Than Censorship" is an initiative of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), EveryLibrary, and the EveryLibrary Institute. The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and EveryLibrary Institute have teamed up to spread light and inclusive books to readers in communities across the US impacted by efforts to restrict the availability of books featuring Black, Queer, and other under-represented characters and themes.
