Witt Salley
School: San Jose State University
After a 16-year career in higher education administration and instruction, Witt Salley is currently pursuing a Master of Library and Information Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he is concentrating on public library leadership and digital librarianship. Salley's research and professional interests center on enhancing and innovating the public library's engagement of and services to diverse, underserved, and other special populations — including aging communities, individuals dealing with or recovering from drug addiction, and GLBTQ+ young adults. He, too, maintains a deep interest in correctional librarianship and the countless other ways in which library services can lift up those in disadvantaged or vulnerable situations.
