EveryLibrary today announces a $5,000.00 donation from Rosen Publishing, a leading independent educational content provider, to establish its Rapid Response Fund.

Rosen Publishing’s contribution will allow EveryLibrary to immediately begin direct support of libraries during crisis communications. This contribution follows a commitment Rosen Publishing made in 2013 to provide early campaign-focused support to EveryLibrary during its start-up year.

Rosen Publishing is a committed library advocate to both school and public library communities. Through the vision of its president, Roger Rosen, Rosen Publishing has contributed over $400,000 in books for summer reading programs to help children establish their own personal libraries. This donation to EveryLibrary helps create a new mode of advocacy for public libraries. “Our partnership with EveryLibrary leverages nicely the help we can provide libraries at a critical juncture in their outreach to their constituents,” says Roger Rosen. The EveryLibrary Rapid Response Fund provides essential communications and outreach support to local library advocates when a budget crisis hits. Too often, advocate calls-to-action cannot reach the public in time. The Rapid Response Fund is designed to kickstart effective communications through targeted, direct spending in support of those calls-to-action at the local level.

“I appreciate that Rosen Publishing identifies our Rapid Response Fund as an important new tool for library advocacy,” says John Chrastka, executive director of EveryLibrary. “Mr. Rosen’s commitment to EveryLibrary has made us effective in our campaign support. This contribution now adds new capacity to our advocacy work.” You can learn more about how the Rapid Response Fund works to support library communities with crisis communications at http://everylibrary.org/rapidresponse.

Rosen Publishing’s core mission is to engage and motivate students by providing compelling, just-right content correlated to curriculum standards (state, national, and the Common Core). Bringing this editorial and design care to a range of subjects and formats across the PreK-12 environment provides Rosen Publishing with a unique opportunity to impact student learning and outcomes. More on Rosen Publishing’s print and digital offerings and commitment to libraries is found at www.rosenpublishing.com.

EveryLibrary is a politically active organization and is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, and unions nationwide who believe that libraries matter in our society. Since 2013, EveryLibrary has supported 14 campaigns and helped win over $40 million in stable funding for libraries at the ballot box.
