Sign your library up for National Voter Registration Day!

Its that time of year again! 

National Voter Registration Day will be held on September 19th 2023 so sign up your library to participate today!

Last year we were able to sign up over 300 libraries to participate. This year we want to reach even more.

Participating in NVRD is a great way to ensure that your community is #voteready. You will get access to online voter registration tools, webinars, and marketing materials to help you promote your participation in this event.

Participating is easy!

On the day of NVRD, you just need to make sure you have voter registration materials available to your community. If you want to go further, you can make a display or a promote books and materials about participating in civics in your community. You can find volunteers to set up a table for voter registration through local organizations like your local chapter of the League of Women's Voters. You can have storytimes about elections and voting to help the next generation of voters. Or promote NVRD's online voter registration forms on your social media and website. The goal is to make sure that everyone in your community, who is eligible, is ready to vote on election day.

When you sign up as a partner, you agree to:

• Be nonpartisan. We can only work with groups who do not represent a party or candidate.
  
  
• Be inclusive. Anyone who requests a registration form should receive one, regardless of party, beliefs, or other factors.
  
  
• Be aware of your state's voter registration laws. This includes any training requirements and returning completed voter registration forms.
  
  
• Be non-transactional. You cannot give items of value 'in exchange' for a voter registration.
  
  
• Likewise you cannot restrict incentives to only those who register.
  
  
• Have fun! National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday!

Partners can receive free stickers and posters, customized resources, and assistance in planning their celebration of the holiday.
