A graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe, Julia initially planned to attend medical school but decided to pursue her passion for writing instead. She has written more than 18 best-selling novels and has been recognized for her witty dialogue, richly developed characters, and ability to blend romance with social commentary. Her work resonates with readers for its charm, humor, and deep emotional resonance, making her a beloved voice in the world of historical romance.

Julia also serves as the National Ambassador for EveryLibrary, where she advocates for libraries and the right to read. When she came on board, she said, “Our right to read freely is under attack, and I cannot sit on the sidelines. As a kid, I visited the library every week, and as an adult, I plan to advocate for them every day. I am honored to be an Ambassador for EveryLibrary, and I can only echo Walter Cronkite: ‘Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation.’”

Julia is proud to serve as an Ambassador for EveryLibraryPlease consider signing her petition to help fight book bans in the United States.
