Banned Books Week is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the freedom to read and advocating against censorship.

This year, it will be held September 22-28, and we have many events lined up!

We're especially excited about our weeklong literary festival, where you can hear from over 25 panels with 45+ authors, publishing professionals, and experts on book bans and the First Amendment.

Banned Books Week underscores the importance of intellectual freedom and highlights the ongoing challenges faced by libraries, authors, publishers, and readers in accessing a wide variety of literature.
