Communico Donates to EveryLibrary to Support Library Ballot Campaign Training Cohort
EveryLibrary, the national political action committee for libraries, is excited to announce a generous $5,000 donation from Communico, a leading provider of library engagement and technology solutions. This donation will support the rollout of a specialized training program focused on Library Ballot Campaigns and Information-Only Campaigns through EveryLibrary Learning in May 2025.
As an early donor of this new initiative, Communico is equipping libraries with essential skills and strategies to effectively inform their communities about upcoming ballot initiatives. The program aims to ensure that public information campaigns are clear, compliant with election laws, and effective in raising awareness about what is at stake for libraries and their patrons.
“This generous support from Communico enhances our ability to train and empower library leaders as they navigate the complexities of ballot measures,” said John Chrastka, Executive Director of EveryLibrary. “Communities rely on libraries for information, and we want to ensure that library leaders have the right tools to communicate transparently, build strong partnerships, and engage stakeholders in meaningful ways.”
Through this training cohort, participating libraries will receive expert instruction in every phase of an information-only campaign, including insights from legal professionals, campaign strategists, digital marketing specialists, and library leaders with ballot campaign experience. The program will also highlight the importance of leveraging corporate and community allies, ensuring libraries can engage effectively with the public while adhering to all election regulations.
“At Communico, we believe in the power of libraries to transform communities,” said Paul Quelch, Communico’s Founder & Chief Executive Officer. “We’re honored to support EveryLibrary in this effort to help libraries provide clear, unbiased information about ballot measures that impact their future.”
EveryLibrary Learning's new cohort will begin accepting participants in May 2025.
