We are thrilled that KC Boyd is the 2022 School Librarian of the Year from School Library Journal! While she will be receiving the award in November at the SLJ Summit, we can't wait to celebrate with her. Please join us for a cocktail hour on Saturday, June 25th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm EDT in Washington, DC as we honor K.C.'s work and impact. K.C. is a founding member of the EveryLibrary Institute Board and has been an EveryLibrary Advisor since 2014. She has been a tireless advocate and tactician focused on the future of school librarianship in DC Public Schools and across the country. We hope you can join us for this free social event.

As our friends at School Library Journal say about recognizing K.C. as School Librarian of the Year in 2022:
As the librarian at Jefferson Middle School Academy in Washington, DC, Boyd has transformed a collection to reflect the student body, created a culture of reading, foregrounded media literacy, introduced a maker space, and developed programs to meet her students’ academic and social-emotional needs. A tireless advocate for her students and fellow librarians, Boyd became one of the biggest voices fighting to keep a librarian in every District of Columbia Public Schools building and, through savvy use of social media, has become an influential voice in school librarianship across the country.
Please RSVP now for this wonderful social event. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating our wonderful colleague.
