EveryLibrary today announces a new donation from BiblioCommons, a provider of premier discovery services for libraries in the US and around the world.

BiblioCommons is making its donation in support of EveryLibrary’s work building voter support for libraries. Since early 2013, EveryLibrary has successfully supported several library communities as they campaign for bonds, levies, and other referendum, helping to secure over $15.1 million in stable tax revenue for these libraries.

“BiblioCommon’s donation adds capacity to 2014 work consulting and advising campaigns”, says John Chrastka, EveryLibrary Executive Director.  “We are happy that BiblioCommons identifies our work as being impactful in the library advocacy ecosystem”.  EveryLibrary is projecting to work on up to 21 campaigns this year and support close to $100 million in public funding for libraries on these Election Days.

BiblioCommons first started as a non-profit youth literacy initiative and now provides online solutions to public libraries worldwide, including: the BiblioCore catalog service for search and account management functionality; the recently-released BiblioCMS, a complete solution for content and website management; and a full suite of complementary cataloging and discovery services.  Details on all services are at bibliocommons.com/products

EveryLibrary is a politically active organization that is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, and unions nationwide who believe that libraries matter in our society.
