Hey there! My name is Ayman and I'm from New York, NY. Given how loud New York can get, libraries provide a sanctuary of silence for those who need it. Without libraries, I would not have had the same accessibility to services offered to the general public, such as voter registration. That being said, EveryLibrary's mission is to keep libraries open so libraries can continue to bring communities together.
Hi, my name is Emily Zhao. I graduated from Fordham University with a master's degree in media management this year, then I worked as research for half a year and finished two certificates in data science at the same time. (One in data visualization, one in data science). In August, I left my researcher's job and started to do two internships in two places. One is here for EveryLibrary; the other is in a company named as Statista. I hope my enthusiasm for media management and data analysis can drive up the campaign performances for EveryLibrary, and generate some meaningful insights.
Hi my name is Mckenzie and I am currently a Senior at St. John's University. I look forward to graduating in May with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am originally from Wisconsin and I plan on going abroad for my Master's degree after graduation. I have had previous internships with local politicians before and I am looking forward to getting new experience by working with a nonprofit organization like EveryLibrary. I am very excited to get started with EveryLibrary because in this new age of technology libraries have lost much support instead of continuing to be a positive source of development throughout society.
Hello, my name is Alyssa Curran. I’m originally from Michigan, but I’ve been attending school at Pace University in New York City for the past three years. I’m working towards a BA in economics and political science. I graduate this December and I hope to use my degree to work in education policy. I was interested in working with EveryLibrary because libraries are such a vital part of education. The library was also such a big part of my upbringing. I remember my mom would take my brother and I to the library at least once a week when we were kids, and participating in the summer reading program was one of my favorite parts of summer break. I’m excited to be a part of EveryLibrary’s team this semester so I can help libraries across the US to make sure everyone, especially kids, have access to libraries since they have meant so much to me.
My name is Jianzhang Shao. I graduated from The University of Iowa with a double major in BA and Finance. I am interested in data science and have a lot of experience in this area. I built one model for a hospital system with my team by using the R program language. I am also good at the VBA program language and SQL. I like music but I can never remember the singer and lyrics. In addition, I am not good at public speaking but I am trying to overcome this weakness.
