A Win For Twin Lakes Libraries!

Throughout the last month your donations have helped us provide pro-bono support to the Friends of the Mary Vinson Memorial Library in their efforts to advocate for continued funding for their library.

We are excited to announce that, thanks to public outcry, the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County were able to reach a new agreement for shared services (SDS). This IGA was signed by all parties involved by July 31, 2019 and prevented a loss of state grant money and crucial library services to the community.

“The Friends of the Mary Vinson Memorial Library are very grateful for all of the help we received from EveryLibrary in our efforts to save the Twin Lakes Library System in Milledgeville, Georgia. With the help of EveryLibrary, we were able to launch a petition that, with each signature, contacted each of our city and county elected officials to urge them to work together to ensure the funding for our library system be secured despite an ongoing service delivery strategy dispute between the two governments. Patrick Sweeney was incredibly helpful and very attentive to our questions and needs throughout the process. With EveryLibrary’s knowledge and resources, we were able to mobilize local library supporters on a large scale and make sure our voices were heard.
