Join EveryLibrary as we raise $50,000 to ensure stable funding and access to libraries for generations to come on September 26 -October 2, 2021.
EveryLibrary is the first and only national organization dedicated to building voter support for libraries. We are chartered “to promote public, school, and college libraries by advocating in support of public funding for libraries and building public awareness of public funding initiatives."
Our primary work is to support local public libraries when they have a referendum or measure on the ballot, to support school librarians in crisis through our SaveSchoolLibrarians.org initiative, and to build a national network of Americans who will take action to create a better future for library funding at all levels of government. In each campaign, EveryLibrary always engages with the local library community to determine how we can most effectively support them.
We do all of this—and more—to ensure libraries are a part of our future. Libraries are much more than a place that holds books. Libraries support:
*Literacy: Libraries strengthen the literacy of my community, promoting life-long learning. | *Health: Libraries are an accurate and trusted source for health information, and support for physical and mental health through programming.
*Immigration: Libraries support new arrivals. | *Social Infrastructure: Libraries promote powerful social connections and strong neighborhoods.
*STEM: Libraries offer opportunities for STEM learning for kids (robotics, coding, VR, etc.). | *Entrepreneurship: Libraries uplift small business incubations, artistic works, and Maker Labs.
*Civic Engagement: Libraries strengthen the civic fabric by being a trusted space for civic conversations. | *Social Services: Libraries connect people to life-saving social services through local partnerships and referrals.
*Teen Spaces: Libraries host a safe space for the academic and social development of young people. | *24/7 Access: Libraries provide equitable access to ebooks, e-audiobooks, and research databases. |
