Join the ALA Office for Library Advocacy for a free webinar focused on planning and conducting successful library ballot measures on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. CDT.

This informative session will include case studies from libraries that have recently won at the ballot box and will feature tips and advice for both “Information-Only” campaigns and “Vote Yes” campaigns. 

Attendees will hear practical, actionable advice on ways to connect with voters including canvassing, phone banking, and events.  They will also learn about the importance of voter data analysis and see first-hand how segmentation and targeted outreach can create success.

Speakers include Melissa Gardner, director of the Broadview (IL) Public Library, Robert Roose, Support Services Manager of the Spokane (WA) Public Library, and John Chrastka, executive director of EveryLibrary.  Marci Merola, Director of the ALA Office for Library Advocacy, will moderate the webinar.
